Judging Procedure and guidelines
Procedure
- After the closing date for submissions, all self-nominations will be collected by the Kern Energy Foundation secretariat and provided for review by the panel of judges.
- The judges will mark all entries against the criteria set out in the category requirements; the highest scoring entry will be the winner.
- The judges will use a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the highest) to score the answer to each question in the award application.
- The judges will use the criteria listed below to score the reply to each question in the award application. The potential highest score is 35 points, and the lowest 7 points. Assuming 7 judges.
- The judges will submit their scores to the Kern Oil & Gas Chairman (panel chair) for evaluation. The Chairman will then poll the individual judges to select the winners on the basis of consensus among the judges.
- No correspondence from outside parties will be entered into.
- Judging will be based on the strength of the submissions and the award application questions
